  • By Repeat Dispensing (this is a system whereby a batch of 6months worth of prescriptions is sent to your chosen pharmacy. This system is suitable for those who are stable on repeat medication –please discuss with your GP.

Only Order What You Need - Wasted or unused medicine is a serious and growing problem within the NHS that you can help tackle.

For safety reasons we do not take repeat prescription requests by telephone.

Prescriptions ordered before 12.00noon will be ready for collection the following day. Prescriptions ordered after 12.00noon will be processed the following day so will be ready for collection in 48 hours.

If you would like your medication delivered to your home, please state this together with the name of the chemist when ordering your repeat prescription and we will be happy to organise this. Please note the Pharmacy will collect your prescription from us as per the timescales above but if you have requested delivery you should generally allow an additional 1-2 days for the Pharmacy to dispense and deliver your medication.

You will need to be seen every six months for a medication review. If you are taking medication for blood pressure, diabetes, asthma, COPD or heart disease you may require yearly blood tests or a review with the practice nurse or healthcare assistant prior to having your medication review. When making arrangements for a medication review please inform the receptionist that you are due for a medication review so that she can organise an appointment with the most appropriate member of the clinical team.

The following are not usually given on repeat prescription: antibiotics, oral contraceptives and tranquillisers.
